Outstanding Import and Export Enterprise Awards 2019 commended industrial elites

The Hong Kong Chinese Importers’ & Exporters’ Association (HKCIEA) announced the results of the 6^th Outstanding Import and Export Enterprise Awards at the Awards Presentation Ceremony cum Dinner on 3^rd October at the Convention Hall of Hong Kong Convention Exhibition Centre, officiated by Paul Chan Mo-po, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary, The Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and Chen Dong, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR.

Outstanding Import and Export Enterprise Awards consist of two awards, The Outstanding Import and Export Enterprise Award and The Outstanding Import & Export Industry Partner Award. The Outstanding Import and Export Enterprise Award includes six awards, namely Market Development Excellence Award, Corporate Succession Excellence Award, Corporate Achievement Award, Entrepreneurship Award, E-Commerce Award and Innovation Excellence Award, to commend out industrial elites for their excellent achievements in various aspects.

Chaired by Dr. Bernard Chan, Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, the judging panel was formed by 13 veteran professionals from government, business, academic and innovative technology sectors. Candidates were evaluated through a two-round process, a preliminary selection and interview with the judging panel. Outstanding enterprises were selected by the ranking from the judging panel.

Hon. Paul Chan Mo-po, Financial Secretary, Mr Chen Dong, Deputy Director of LOCPG in the HKSAR, Dr Bernard Chan, Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Ms Phoebe Tse Siu-ling, General Manager, Commercial Banking Department, Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited cum Gold Sponsor, Mr Lam Lung On, President of the Hong Kong Chinese Importers’ & Exporters’ Association, Hon. Wong Ting-kwong, Honorary Chairman of Organizing Committee of the Awards and Member of the Legislative Council (Import and Export), Dr Kennedy Wong, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Awards and Mr Chan King, Vice President and Honorary Secretary of the Hong Kong Chinese Importers’ & Exporters’ Association officiated the opening ceremony. Mr Zhu Wen, Director-General of the Coordination Department, LOCPG in the HKSAR and Mr Liu Yajun, Head of the Commerce Office of the LOCPG in the HKSAR joined the photo-taking.

“The escalation of China-US trade war has soured investment sentiment and global economic outlook, slower Hong Kong economic growth and Hong Kong’s business environment has been turbulent under intense competition. We encourage our members of the industry cooperate amicably, remain composed amidst economic turbulence,” said Hon. Wong Ting-kwong, Honorary Chairman of Organizing Committee of the Awards and Member of the Legislative Council (Import and Export).

Hon. Paul Chan Mo-po acknowledged the Outstanding Import and Export Enterprise Awards for uniting the industry and congratulated to all winners.
